    Ye of Great Faith

    Matthew 8:10
    "When Jesus heard this, He was astonished and said to those following Him, "I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith."

    It's mind boggling .. Jesus was astonished. Amazed. 
    The Way, the Truth and the Life ... He himself was amazed at someone's faith for his faith was great. 

    I noticed that this particular centurion was a very humble man.

    Verse 8 reads,
    "Lord, I do not deserve to have You come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed."

    The post-modern day christians ... we demand that Jesus comes under our roof.  We think we deserve His presence.  We demand that He 'shows' up ... rather than relying on His words alone. 

    Lord,
    Forgive me for I am a person of little faith. 
    Teach me to become a woman of great faith. 
    Great humility.
    Amen.

    to be accompanied by a stringed instrument.
    1 O LORD, our Lord, the majesty of your name fills the earth!
    Your glory is higher than the heavens.
     2 You have taught children and nursing infants to give you praise.
    They silence your enemies who were seeking revenge.
     3 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers--
    the moon and the stars you have set in place--
     4 what are mortals that you should think of us, mere humans that you should care for us?
     5 For you made us only a little lower than God, and you crowned us with glory and honor.
     6 You put us in charge of everything you made, giving us authority over all things--
     7 the sheep and the cattle and all the wild animals,
     8 the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents.
     9 O LORD, our Lord, the majesty of your name fills the earth!
